Line of descent

This family is Scottish and the earliest origins identified are in and around Perthshire. Our branch of the family lived in Methven and nearby villages. They migrated to the Isle of Dogs in London around 1847 or 1848 before crossing the River Thames about five years later and settling in Southwark. The family moved to Deptford in the early twentieth century. Ken's grandfather married Susan Suggitt of Bermondsey which was where they settled down.
