Collaboration & Acknowledgements

We have been so fortunate to have found so many friends who now spread across the world. Many have contributed to our knowledge of our families and we are most grateful to them all. We also have details of some families who are not related but of similar surnames.

It isn't possible to measure the value of an individual's contribution over the 30 years we have been compiling the family trees - so to all of you this is a heartfelt THANK YOU.

We would also like to express our great thanks to those very generous people who have volunteered their time and expertise to provide us family researchers with such wonderful records online. Transcribing records and censuses can sometimes feel like a thankless task but to those Online Parish Clerks, Census Project volunteers, personal website publishers and so many others who share their information with us we feel we must repeat a heartfelt THANK YOU.

The privacy of living family members is of paramount importance. Every effort has been made to ensure that details of living family members are not disclosed here without their permission. This includes e-mail addresses of contacts. If you wish to contact somebody mentioned on this website please contact us and we shall be delighted to put you in touch, where we can.

To ensure that this is achieved there will be few entries shown on the Family Tree reports here where the person was born after 1920. Published family trees have been truncated to achieve this. It is likely that more recent details do exist and if you contact us we can answer requests for information in this area on a case by case basis.

If we have contravened this policy in any way please accept our apologies and do contact us. We shall endeavour to correct the situation as quickly as we can.
